Dr. Bucshon Attends House Healthcare Agenda Rollout
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) –On Wednesday, Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. joined House Republican leaders to unveil a plan to replace ObamaCare. The plan, A Better Way to Fix Healthcare, is a part of the House’s bold vision for the future of the country that ensures every American has access to quality, affordable healthcare.
“There’s no question ObamaCare is the wrong prescription for what ails America’s healthcare system. Over 30 million Americans are still without health insurance, out-of-pocket costs are on the rise, patient choice has diminished, Medicaid is failing the most vulnerable, and Medicare is on an accelerated path to bankruptcy,” said Bucshon. “Republicans in the House don’t think the solution is to go back, so our plan is about more than repealing and replacing ObamaCare. Our plan is a better way forward – a step-by-step approach to build a 21st Century healthcare system that expands patient choice and access, positions the United States as the leader in cutting-edge cures and treatments, and strengthens the Medicaid safety net and Medicare guarantee to seniors. Most importantly, our plan puts patients first.”
