Dr. Bucshon Honors MLK Day in Evansville
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. released the following statement after participating in a symbolic march in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day hosted today at the University of Evansville:
“I’m proud to join fellow Hoosiers today as we honor the contributions and legacy of a great American, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King dedicated his life to the noble calling of serving others and to ending injustice and inequality,” said Bucshon. “On this day, and every day, may we recommit to our shared ideals and humanity – that no matter our differences, we are all in this together.”
According to the University’s website, the march was one of several events hosted by the University of Evansville and was a “reenactment of the 1963 Civil Rights March on Washington.”
