Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following statement in regards to the April unemployment numbers increasing to 9 percent. Congressman Bucshon states: “I find it difficult that President Obama is in Indiana today to provide more rhetoric and talk about jobs with little action. As Hoosiers are struggling to find jobs and all Americans are tightening their belts, the President would rather pat himself on the back for unemployment numbers that are outrageously high. We need leadership in Washington, D.C. and President Obama has only provided failed policies that led to these high unemployment numbers, a sluggish recovery, and higher energy costs. In April, the President released a ‘plan’ to reduce the deficit by raising taxes. With gas prices climbing and people still looking for work, raising taxes on families and businesses is not an option.” ### |
