Congressman Larry Bucshon: End the Uncertainty for America’s Job Creators

Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following statement in response to the National Federation of Independent Business’ report on the decline of small business optimism for the third consecutive month.

Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) states:

“The NFIB’s report is more evidence that President Obama’s plan to spend our nation to prosperity has failed.  With job creators less optimistic about the future of our economy, our unemployment rate will remain historically high.  We need to provide certainty to small businesses in order for them to grow and create jobs.

I find it troubling that President Obama would rather joke ‘Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected.’ than to lead on this issue.  This is not a joking matter to the Hoosier families that are struggling to find work.  It has been 28 months since the stimulus passed and a year since 2010 was declared as the “Recovery Summer”, yet 1.9 million fewer Americans have jobs.  This is why we need to get our fiscal house in order, cut spending, and end onerous regulations on job creators.”

NOTE:  House Republicans released their Plan for America’s Job Creators on May 26th.
