The Democrat Politician Protection Act will make Americans pay for campaigns they do not support, says Dr. Larry Bucshon, Republican representative from Indiana. He said on the House floor Friday he wholly opposes it. Bucshon says that the Act (H.R.1) is a radical attempt to hijack our free and fair election system and limit the voices of the American people. The bill, which does require the federal financing of campaigns and oversight of elections, was introduced by Democrats at the beginning of the year as an anti-corruption measure.It requires strict reporting of all campaign contributions, and the source of money for all ads on social media. It would also create an automatic voter registration, requiring you to opt out, rather than opt in.
