Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following statement regarding the July jobless rate that is currently 9.1 percent. "Unemployment at 9.1 percent is unacceptable. With the economy faltering, we need to provide certainty to America's job creators. The Obama Administration has threatened tax increases on small businesses and created hundreds of new burdensome regulations in July that stifle job creation and will affect energy costs. It is time for the Obama Administration to take responsibility for their actions that have led to slow economic growth. We were promised an unemployment rate under 8 percent and a recovery summer to create the engine for economic growth. Neither happened. We need to focus on the fundamentals of our economy and ensure job creators have the ability to operate in an environment that will lead to prosperity." ### |
