Congressman Larry Bucshon Comments on December Jobless Rate

Congressman Larry Bucshon released the following statement regarding the December jobless rate which remained at 7.8% while the economy gained 155,000 jobs.

 Congressman Bucshon (IN-08) states:

“Today’s jobless report is another sign that our nation’s economy continues to stagnate.  Although we added 155,000 jobs last month, millions of Americans have dropped out of the workforce altogether and have given up the search for meaningful work over the last four years.

“Placing an unnecessary burden on our nation’s job creators and families to fund the out-of-control spending of this administration is unacceptable.  Instead, we must focus on common solutions that will create jobs and reduce our national debt.

“I ran for a second term in Congress to be a part of the solution, not part of the problem.  I remain committed to solving our nation’s fiscal problems so that we can get our economy back on track and put struggling Hoosiers back to work.”
