Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon released the following statement welcoming Pope Francis to the United States Capitol:

“I welcome His Holiness Pope Francis to the United States Capitol for his address to a joint session of Congress,” said Bucshon. “The Pope is one of the most important leaders for spiritual and moral guidance in the world. I look forward to hearing his inspirational message, directed by Scripture, on faith, hope, and service.  As a man of faith, it’s truly an honor to be a part of this historic occasion.”

Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. is a physician and Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee serving his third term representing Indiana's 8th Congressional district. The 8th District of Indiana includes all or parts of Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Martin, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warrick counties.
