Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon released the following statement after Speaker of the House John Boehner announced his resignation:

“There’s no doubt the Speaker presided over a difficult time in our nation’s history. During his tenure, he’s been a dedicated public servant to his constituents and has led our conference with an undeniable love for country. I thank him for his leadership, respect his decision, and wish him all the best in his next chapter. It’s now time for our conference to move forward with unity as we address the challenges that face our country.”

Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. is a physician and Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee serving his third term representing Indiana's 8th Congressional district. The 8th District of Indiana includes all or parts of Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Martin, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warrick counties.
