(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement after reviewing the Special Counsel’s report that was released to the public by the Department of Justice:

“The Mueller report is abundantly clear – there was no collusion between anyone on President Trump’s campaign and Russia in the 2016 election and there was no obstruction of justice. Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats owe the President, his family, and the American people an apology for peddling misleading and defamatory statements for more than two years.

“I applaud Attorney General Barr for making the Special Counsel’s report available so the public can see for themselves that Russia did try to interfere in the 2016 election but that there was no collusion with the Trump campaign. President Trump provided complete access to Mueller and his team and did not use Executive Privilege at any point throughout the investigation.

“It is unfortunate that for two years, Democrats in Washington put their own political interests and conspiracy theories before the well-being of our nation and the American people. It is time to move on, and Washington Democrats need to put the political theater and antics aside and come to the table and work with Republicans on the real issues and challenges that matter most to the American people.”
