(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement after U.S. Congresswoman Susan Brooks (R–IN-05) announced she will not be running for re-election in 2020:

“Congresswoman Susan Brooks has had a distinguished and impactful career in public service – serving as Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis from 1998–99, a U.S. Attorney under President George W. Bush from 2001–07, and a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives starting in 2013.  She is a valued colleague, dedicated Hoosier servant, and more importantly a good friend.  I look forward to continuing to serve with Susan for the remainder of this Congress, and wish her the best in this next chapter of her life.”
