Dr. Bucshon Applauds $225 Million Headed to Rural Health Clinics For COVID-19 Testing

(Washington, D.C.) –
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will provide $225 million to Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) across the nation for COVID-19 testing.  These investments will aid over 4,500 RHCs across the country to support COVID-19 testing efforts and expand access to testing in rural communities.

I am pleased to see additional funding for expanding COVID-19 testing will be going to Rural Health Clinics across the nation. There are a number of Rural Health Clinics in Southwest and West Central Indiana, and we must continue to provide funds to facilities like these across the state in order to increase testing capacity for coronavirus. The importance of testing Hoosiers is the difference between life and death for the most vulnerable among us and the key to reopening our economy and getting us back on track.”
