(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) today announced the Department of Justice has awarded Vanderburgh County Superior Court $409,197 through the Grants to Support Families in the Justice System program to help provide support and service to victims of domestic violence and abuse. 

“Under no circumstance is violence against women or children acceptable and it breaks my heart to see stories of domestic violence and abuse. As these victims make the courageous decision to seek help and ultimately justice, it is critical that they can get the support and services they need as their cases move through the justice system. This funding will help ensure that Vanderburgh County and its local partners can meet the needs of victims of abuse here in Southwest Indiana.”
