(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement announcing that the Perry County Port Authority’s Bridge and Rail Added Capacity Enhancement (BRACE) Project has received a grant in the amount of $4,511,548 from the Economic Development Administration:

“Investments in infrastructure are more important than ever as we continue to fight COVID-19 by moving and shipping vaccines across the nation. Indiana is known as the Crossroads of America because so much freight moves through our state by car, truck, and rail. I am happy to announce the Economic Development Administration has granted over $4.5 million for the Perry County Port Authority’s Bridge and Rail Added Capacity Enhancement (BRACE) Project. This investment will not only produce jobs in the short term but will bolster increased economic opportunity in the region for years to come.”
