(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement condemning the Biden Administration’s handling of the crisis forming at the southern border of the United States:

“Democrats in Washington are turning a blind eye to the humanitarian and security crisis forming at our southern border.  After years of harshly condemning former President Trump for his policies, their silence on the Biden Administration’s failure to address the crisis at the southern border is truly deafening.  Already, more than 3,000 migrant children are being held past their legal limit and a Texas migrant facility is at 729% capacity. Additionally, since October 1^st, four individuals arrested at the southern border – three from Yemen and one from Serbia – had names on the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database. Like the majority of Americans, I am appalled at the deteriorating conditions at the southern border. We must provide the resources necessary to combat this growing crisis to ensure the safety and security of America."
