WASHINGTON– Today, Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (R-Ind.) released the following statement on his vote againstH.R. 4502, which is a bill containing seven of the 12 annual appropriations bills.
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are advancing hyper-partisan appropriations bills full of reckless spending and far-left policies. H.R. 4502 is a bloated spending bill that eliminates long-standing pro-life policies and religious freedom protections like the Hyde Amendment – which has enjoyed bipartisan support for decades, weakens immigration law, increases dependence on foreign materials, and promotes ill-advised natural resource policies,”said Congressman Bucshon.“At a time when our country is in crisis, pulling support for our southern border, abandoning an all-of-the-above approach to energy, and allowing taxpayer dollars to go towards abortions isnot the direction that Hoosiers in the Eighth District believe we should be taking our country.”
