Indiana’s Republican Congressional House Delegation Releases Joint Statement on Terror Attacks on American Troops in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON – Today, Republican members of Indiana’s Congressional House Delegation released the following joint statement regarding the terrorist attacks carried out on American troops outside the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

“Yesterday’s events that unfolded in Afghanistan were devastating to watch. Under President Biden’s leadership, we have now seen the deadliest day for our troops in Afghanistan since 2011. The responsibility of these events fall squarely on the President’s shoulders, and his grave missteps have resulted in lives lost, and service men and women injured, at the hands of terrorists.

“The service of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines in Afghanistan has been heroic and to those still in harm’s way, we will not rest until all Americans are safe and secure. For 20 years, Hoosiers and Americans from across the country have valiantly fought to defend our uniquely American freedoms, and we are echoed by our entire country in thanking all those who fight, sacrifice, and serve our great nation. God bless you.”
