Eighth District Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. released the following statement regarding Senator Dan Coats’ decision to not seek reelection.  

“Senator Dan Coats is a true public servant who’s made a tremendous impact on our state and our country. He’s been a great partner in the Senate and an example of a principled, conservative leader. I am truly grateful for his counsel over the past few years. I look forward to working with him as he finishes his term and wish him and Marsha all the best in their future endeavors.”

Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. is a physician and Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee serving his third term representing Indiana's 8th Congressional district. The 8th District of Indiana includes all or parts of Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Martin, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warrick counties.
