Congressman Larry Bucshon Named Conferee on Highway Bill

Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following comment after being appointed a conferee on the Surface Highway Transportation Bill Reauthorization. Congressman Bucshon (IN-08) states: “As a freshman Member of Congress, I am honored to be appointed a conferee on the Surface Highway Transportation Reauthorization. I look forward to sharing Indiana’s transportation successes with my fellow conferees and creating legislation that will put thousands of Hoosiers to work. Congress should learn from Indiana’s example and create legislation that will streamline the process and create an environment where the private sector and government can work together. I am ready to get to work to repair our nation’s infrastructure.” Congressman John L. Mica, Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee states: “Congressman Bucshon has been a valuable member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and I am pleased he will continue to contribute his expertise to the development and completion of this important transportation measure.” Background: Congressman Bucshon is the only member of the Indiana Delegation appointed to the Conference Committee and the only Hoosier on the Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure.
