Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. had this to say, “TheStateChildren’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) wascreated by Republican majorities in 1997to improve the accessibility and quality of health care for uninsured and underinsured children in low-income households. With104,000 Hoosier children and more than 9 million across the nationdependent onSCHIP,reauthorizing this important programis a top priorityfor these children. The House took action and passed a bill last fall (H.R. 3922) to reauthorize SCHIP, but Washington Democrats have blocked this reauthorization from moving forward. It’s unfortunate that Washington Democrats continueto playpolitical games withthehealth careofchildren. “
