Dr. Bucshon Condemns Speaker Pelosi’s Unconstitutional Interference

(Washington, D.C.) –
Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement after voting against Speaker Pelosi’s resolution to unconstitutionally limit President Trump’s ability to conduct appropriate military measures with Iran after eliminating known terrorist Qasem Soleimani, (H. Con. Res. 83):

“This politically motivated attempt by Speaker Pelosi to limit President Trump’s ability to engage in hostilities with Iran is unconstitutional. Article II of the Constitution broadly and clearly empowers the President in matters of national security and foreign policy, and this absurd resolution infringes on the President’s ability to conduct foreign policy and to protect the American people.”

Background
