(Evansville, IN) – Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) applauded the ruling of the 11th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals for declaring the individual mandate portion of the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional. The lawsuit was brought about by 26 states, including Indiana. Congressman Bucshon (IN-08) states: “We already knew the individual mandate in Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) was bad for small businesses and job creators; I’m glad it was also ruled unconstitutional by the 11th Circuit. In addition, I believe the entire law should be repealed. I have voted twice to do just that. The Affordable Care Act is big government at its worst. We should implement laws to allow for private sector solutions that will improve quality, increase access, and reduce the overall cost of health care. This is a great victory for individual rights and the rights of states that have challenged this law, including Indiana.” ### |
