Bill to Rename St. Joseph VA Clinic in Honor of Late Rep. Jackie Walorski is One Step Closer to Being Signed into Law

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Representative Larry Bucshon, M.D. joined the entire Indiana House Delegation, Representative Walorski’s mother and husband, Speaker Pelosi, and others at the bill enrollment ceremony to send H.R. 8656 to the President’s desk to be signed into law. This bill would rename the Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic in Mishawaka, Indiana the “Jackie Walorski VA Clinic”.

“Jackie Walorski was not only a colleague but a close friend. I think that her work on issues related to veterans was very impressive and so, this is really an appropriate honor for this facility to be named after her. Generations will not forget the work that she has done,” said Dr. Bucshon at today’s event.
