Bucshon Issues Statement Opposing the Administration’s Rush-To-Green Agenda, Protecting Hoosier Jobs

U.S. Representative Larry Bucshon, M.D. (R-Ind.-08) released the following statement in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed PM2.5 Air Quality regulation for power plants that was released yesterday.

“As part of the Biden Administration’s rush-to-green agenda, the EPA has proposed a new rule that could shut down power plants across the nation and jeopardize access to reliable and affordable energy for American families and businesses. Not only does this have the potential to jeopardize Hoosier jobs, but it also has the ability to increase energy costs when they are already at historic highs. With one estimate showing this rule alone could threaten at least 852,100 jobs and $162.4 billion in economic activity across the United States, it is critical that the EPA stops this rule before it goes into effect,” said Dr. Bucshon.
