Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) joined Congressman Paul Broun (GA-10) and fellow members of the 112th Congress in supporting an amicus brief filed by the American Center for Law and Justice in support of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the 4th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.

The amicus brief focuses on why the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional and therefore the entire law must be completely invalidated. 

Congressman Bucshon States:

            “This is an important case in our nation’s courts and I am proud to support the Commonwealth of Virginia’s position.  While we have voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act in the House of Representatives, we continue to dismantle this egregious law and seek ways to defund its implementation.  I support the District Court declaring the individual mandate unconstitutional, but also believe that the entire law must be declared invalid based on that ruling.”
