(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement after Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced a $1 billion dollar infrastructure improvement plan as part of his 2019 agenda:

“Governor Holcomb continues to lead Indiana forward with smart, modern improvements to the Hoosier state. As the ‘Crossroads of America,’ Indiana facilitates the transportation of goods across the state, region, nation, and all of North America. I am pleased to see the importance placed on expediting the I-69 project with an additional $600 million that will accelerate its completion by 2024, completing this vital link between Southwest Indiana and Indianapolis. Furthermore, the investment of $100 million to expand access to broadband across the rural areas of our state is vital to sustained economic development. This important investment will help ensure that Hoosiers living in rural areas can have access to affordable and reliable internet that is necessary to remain competitive in the 21^st century.”
