Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following statement in regards to his Yes vote on H.R. 1230 – Restarting American Offshore Leasing Act Now. Congressman Bucshon states: “With gas prices rising across our nation, it is important to move forward with the scheduled lease sales that President Obama has delayed or cancelled. President Obama’s actions limit our ability to produce domestic sources of energy. In times with high unemployment and a sluggish economy, the American people cannot afford high gas prices. These bills will help grow the economy, provide jobs to hardworking Americans, and increase American energy production. This is a part of the all-the-above approach that is necessary to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.” ### |
