Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) released the following statement recognizing National Charter Schools Week (May 1st – May 7th).
Congressman Bucshon states:
“Charter schools provide innovation to our education system with their performance-based approach that holds teachers and officials accountable. As a member of the Education & the Workforce Committee, we are constantly seeking ways to promote innovation and flexibility in our schools and provide quality learning experiences for our children.
Just this past month, Governor Daniels signed into law the expansion of charter schools in our state of Indiana. I am proud that Gov. Daniels has made education a top priority and has sought ways to promote choice and excellence in our schools.”
