Bucshon Receives NAM Award

(Winslow, IN) – Yesterday, Rep. Larry Bucshon (IN-08) received the “Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence” from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  The award recognizes Rep. Bucshon’s support of policies critical to the success of manufacturing in Indiana and across the United States.

Rep. Larry Bucshon (IN-08):

“Indiana is home to the highest percentage of manufacturing employment and earnings in the United States,” said Rep. Bucshon.  “The manufacturing industry is vital to our state and national economy and it is important that policies in Washington, DC ensure these companies are competitive in the global economy.  I am proud to have a strong record in Congress of supporting manufacturing and the opportunity to find good paying jobs here in the 8th District.”

BACKGROUND:

Indiana is home to the highest percentage of manufacturing employment and earnings in the United States (U.S. Department of Commerce, January 2013). 

NAM presents this award to Members of Congress who maintained a voting record of 70 percent or higher during the 112th Congress (2011-2012) based on key votes selected by an NAM member-led advisory committee.
