WASHINGTON – Representative Larry Bucshon, M.D. (R-Ind.) released the following statement after the Biden administration announced that it plans to ease energy sanctions on Venezuela.

“American families are being crushed under the burden of soaring energy costs because of the Biden Administration’s failed energy policies. By easing Venezuela’s energy sanctions, the Administration is turning their back on American energy producers and the jobs and businesses they support at home to rely on a corrupt, socialist government to meet America’s energy needs. I urge them to join with Republicans in Congress to support commonsense legislation like the American Energy Independence from Russia Act that will unleash American energy to drive down energy costs for American families and bolster our nation’s energy security,” said Dr. Bucshon.
