Dr. Bucshon’s Statement on Veterans Day

(Evansville, IN) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement commemorating Veterans Day:

“Every year on November 11th we celebrate Veterans day, taking time to thank those who selflessly put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Today, there are over 20 million American men and women that have the distinct honor of being called a Veteran.

“As a Navy Reservist for nearly a decade, I have the greatest respect for the brave men and women of our armed forces that answered the call to serve. Putting on the uniform of the United States of America, the greatest team on Earth, is truly an honor that is unmatched.

“Aside from preserving our freedoms, veterans serve as community leaders, and understand the meaning of servant leadership. We owe our veterans more than just one day out of the year, but we can proudly come together today as one nation to say, thank you. From my family, my staff and myself, we want to thank all Veterans that have served to protect the continued future of the United States of America."
