Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN) toured the CountryMark Oil Refinery in Mount Vernon on Monday to view a completed renovation project.

The facility is Posey County's second largest employer.

It recently completed $80 million in upgrades.

The investment replaces aging equipment which will reduce air emissions and produce higher quality, more energy-efficient fuels.

CountryMark's CEO said continued investment is important.

Improved safety was also a benefit of the upgrades.

The new equipment features automatic safety shutdown controls in the event conditions become unsafe.
