Dr. Bucshon Applauds Phase One Trade Deal with China

(Washington, D.C.) –
Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) released the following statement after the White House signed the first phase of a trade deal with China that includes a commitment purchase an additional $200 billion of American goods and services, including agriculture:

“I applaud the Trump Administration for working diligently on achieving a strong and enforceable deal with China to end unfair trade practices, protect America’s intellectual property, and level the playing field for American workers. This deal is particularly good news for the farmers and growers across the nation, especially those in Indiana, ensuring a dramatic increase in market access for agriculture products. Hoosier farmers are the backbone to our state’s economy, ranking among the top ten of states in agricultural production, and these commitments to purchase products will bolster our already booming economy.”
